I do not approve, but I am not surprised

Yea, okay, but…the crime rate in DC is an outrage. I cannot help but think that lifting the ban will increase crime even more. Now, I’m not stupid, I understand that the Supreme Court was created to uphold the Constitution…a Constitution that should protect the people. Guns don’t protect people, that’s a lie the NRA told you. So….by extension, the Supreme Court should not have overturned the ban. I would get laughed out of court with that reasoning but oh well.
I am no huge fan of firearms here, and like I said, I don’t think I’d own one, but to think that legal ownership of guns will increase crime is sort of naive… people who are committing these violent crimes will continue to obtain guns in the same manner they always have - illegally. Overturning the gun ban does not mean gun stores are going to pop up on every corner in DC.
Thank you, Kia, for some all-too-rare common sense on this issue.
Seriously.
I can’t believe there are people who actually think criminals obey gun laws. It absolutely boggles my mind.
