In the HoR I like Ron Paul, of course, but wish he were agnostic or an atheist.  His faith gives me pause, something I realize has the precise opposite effect on a large portion those who vote for him and spread the Ron Paul lovefest.

In the Senate I like Wisconsin’s own renegade, Russ Feingold… but am a bit skeptical that his stances sometimes take on an air of grandstanding.  The fact that he hasn’t run for national office (or been included in the serious chatter for a Veep slot) encourages me, and while I disagree with some of his political beliefs I respect the fact that he says what he means and stands by his convictions when the winds change in Washington.

Though, to be honest, I don’t trust any of them.  With each year that passes I find the possibility of liking a single one of them (let alone calling any one my “favorite”) to be increasingly remote.
